Micky Dolenz of The Monkees, Oh My!

We did have some interesting conversations. Micky clarified my thinking on some topics. Namely, The Monkees was a television show first, and foremost. They were not a band as many, including me, believed.

John Lennon of The Beatles characterized The Monkees as more like the Marx Brothers than The Beatles.

Much of the conflict swirling around The Monkees was between NBC, the television network, and RCA, the record label.
