He’s been an advisor to Presidents and he helped the United States transition power from Richard Nixon to Gerald Ford during one of the bleakest periods in American history. He was also Secretary of Defense during the Bush Administration at the time of the 9/11 attack. We discuss his recent memoir, Known and Unknown.
