Patti Kokinos, author of Angel Park—a novel that describes the plight of education reform in America and the toll it takes on teachers.

Patti is an expert on education reform having worked in many roles within the educational system, including her first job as a high school English and journalism teacher in Central California, where she was named Kern County Teacher of the Year in 1984.

She became an administrator—she was named to the Superintendent’s Task Force to design Project 2000 for the Kern High School District to enhance outcomes in four local high schools.

She was promoted to Assistant Principal for Instruction.
