Rick Robinson has thirty years experience in politics and law, including a stint on Capitol Hill. He understands the workings of the Federal Government.

It comes as no surprise, then, that he has written a novel about politics, sports, steroids and government involvement titled Sniper Bid.

Rick believes it’s not the role of the federal government to regulate steroid use in baseball, or any other sport. It’s up to the fans to voice their displeasure at steroid use and, to date, the fans don’t appear to be too concerned.

The key to the discussion is the anti-trust exemption for baseball. Congress ruled baseball is not involved in interstate commerce. The Supreme Court refuses to take up the argument. They leave it up to legislators to regulate it. The only time Congress wants to discuss the anti-trust exemption whenever Major League Baseball wants to expand.

Rick’s books have been compared to works by David Baldacci and James Patterson—very lofty company.
