Barbara Weltman has built a reputation as an experienced and helpful source for small business advice since the publication of her J.K. Lasser’s Tax Deductions for Small Business in 1995.

A tax and business attorney since 1977, Barbara has the knowledge entrepreneurs need to get ahead and stay ahead. Barbara isn’t just in the game—She’s ahead of it.

Barbara graduated from Brooklyn Law School in 1976 and went right to work for J.K. Lasser Tax Institute.  In 1983 she moved into private practice, serving primarily small business clients while writing professional and educational materials for accountants and other attorneys.

After her first book was published, Barbara wanted to serve as a true small business expert, teaching people how to start a business and expand their current enterprises.

Today, Barbara is a respected corporate speaker, contributing editor, author of more than a dozen books from major publishers, sought-after expert media source, newsletter publisher and more than ever a trusted advocate for small business owners.
