Michael Shermer Applies Modern Skepticism To The Believing Brain
Michael Shermer is the Founding Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of Skeptic magazine (www.skeptic.com) and the Director of The Skeptics Society.
He is a Visiting Associate at the California Institute of Technology, and hosts the Skeptics Lecture Series at Cal Tech.
Michael has authored several popular books on science, scientific history, and the philosophy and history of science. His latest book it titled The Believing Brain: From Ghosts and Gods to Politics and Conspiracies–How We Construct Beliefs and Reinforce Them As Truths.
He is also a radio personality and the host of the Fox Family Channel’s Exploring the Unknown.
Michael received his B.A. in psychology from Pepperdine University, M.A. in experimental psychology from California State University, Fullerton, and his Ph.D. in the history of science from Claremont Graduate University.
He lives in Los Angeles, California.
