Viktor Salinas is a liver cancer survivor, blood donor Prom King and recently greaduated high school senior. He appeared on The Business of Life last fall to talk about the blood drives he organzied for United Blood Services.

Life dealt Viktor a cruel irony, however. Shortly after appearing on radio, he was diagnosed with liver cancer. He was treated with chemotherapy and, when that didn’t work, he had part of his liver removed.

Viktor is better now. He came on the show only 14 days after his surgery to remove part of his liver to discuss his experience.

Holly Nash of United Blood Services was also in the studio to stress the importance of giving blood for emergencies like this.
