George F. Gilder is the co-founder of the Discovery Institute, a techno-utopian intellectual, and Republican Party activist.

His 1981 bestseller Wealth and Poverty advanced a practical and moral case for capitalism during the early months of the Reagan Administration.

His latest book is titled Knowledge and Power in which he proposes a new vision of capitalism that embraces entrepreneurship and freedom as its core principles.
