Keith Roberts is a member of the American Bar Association’s Judicial Division and an arbitrator and mediator in NYC.

An attorney in San Francisco for several years, he helped found and served as an executive of an environmental magazine, a real estate consulting firm in San Francisco, and The Preservation Group, a developer which restored and preserved historic buildings in the SF Bay Area.

Keith moved to NYC in 1979 and became CEO of Roberts Proprietaries, Inc., a manufacturer and marketer of cosmetics and toiletries in the US, Europe, and Japan.

In 1991 he also became President of Nouveau Laboratories, Inc., a contract manufacturer of health and beauty aids.

Keith’s curiosity about how business began led to The Origins of Business, Money, and Markets. He has sought to create a coherent account of those beginnings and the ancient predecessors of modern business based on the professional historical, economic, archaeological, and geographic literature.
