Sandra Walker is the newly appointed CEO of the Ventura Chamber of Commerce. She’s held the post since May 2010.

She previously worked as a branch manager at the former Affinity Bank, customer service manager at Santa Barbara Bank & Trust and accountant for the city of Ventura.

For 2 years prior to joining the Ventura Chamber, Sandra was operations director at the Camarillo Chamber of Commerce.

Sandra’s top priorities for the Ventura Chamber of Commerce are: 1) increase membership 2) focus on existing memebers 3) hold membership prices steady.

We discussed the top initiatives the Ventura Chamber is addressing in Business Development, Government Affairs and Community Involvement.

Sandra’s new directions for the Chamber are to create a more sustainable, smarter organization with more benefits for members, more synergy and better use of technology.

Sandra chairs the newly created Prosperity Council. The group includes officials from the city, the chamber, Downtown Ventura Organization and Ventura Visitors & Convention Bureau.
