Rebecca L. Gladding, M.D. is a Clinical Instructor and Attending Psychiatrist at the UCLA Stewart and Lynda Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital and the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior.
She graduated from UCSF School of Medicine, completed her psychiatry residency at UCLA and spent six months at the University of Washington as a Psychosomatic Fellow. She was featured in the A&E Television Network’s critically acclaimed series Obsessed.
Dr. Gladding believes that anxiety is a helpful signal often alerting us that a deeper emotion is trying to reach the surface, Dr. Gladding focuses on teaching people how to recognize anxiety and use it to identify erroneous negative thoughts (i.e., deceptive brain messages) so that they can uncover and express their true emotions.
Dr. Gladding has been working with Dr. Schwartz since 1999 and together they authored You Are Not Your Brain: The 4-Step Solution For Changing Bad Habits, Ending Unhealthy Thinking And Taking Charge Of Your Life.
